Letter to Program Participants

We're putting this up on the web because a bulk mail failure meant it did not reach all the recipients. We'll be following up as soon as possible with additional status updates. As soon as the problem gets fixed, we will make the appropriate extension of the deadline.

To all potential Arisia Program Participants:

Thank you to those who have bid on panels thus far.

If you have yet to do so, please log in and bid in the next 24 hours. Please note that we will not consider you for a program item if you do not rate it as well as include a few sentences as to why you would be a good fit for the panel.

If you were one of the many who logged in and signed up for panels in the first few days after we went live, you are awesome, but please check back in. Fast Track (children's programming) and Music Track had many selections that were not immediately visible, due to an error on our end.

Arisia Programming Staff will begin preliminary assignments this week. This will only take into consideration the information you provide through Zambia. Workshop assignments will be considered over the next two weeks.

In November, we will put together the full preliminary schedule, and we will make changes and substitutions as necessary. This preliminary schedule will be released for your comment and review in late November (before Thanksgiving).

The final schedule will be released in mid-December. Registration Division will then offer full comp memberships to Arisia 2014 to all panelists who have been scheduled for 3 or more items. Registration will offer day memberships for those panelists booked for 1 or 2 panels. All panelists who did not earn full comps will be offered the chance to upgrade to full memberships at the September rate, even if you were not assigned to any panels, as thanks for participating in this process. Comp memberships are non-transferable. If you have already paid for an Arisia 2014 membership, you may transfer it to another member, or you may roll it forward for one year only.

Please go to http://zambia.2014.arisia.org/ and log in using your badge number. Your original default password was "changeme". If you need a password reset, please let us know at programming@arisia.org.

If you have already indicated that you will not be able to attend Arisia 2014, this will be the last email you receive from us this year. Unless you tell us otherwise, we will be happy to consider you again for Arisia 2015.

Thanks again,

Arisia Programming Staff"
